Background and Achievements
Andrew Gillum is a native Floridian. He graduated from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, but not before being elected as the youngest member of the Tallahassee City Commission. He was re-elected three times prior to winning the Mayoral election in 2014. Gillum won with 76% of the vote. While in office, Gillum helped to expand access to education and make Tallahassee a city where everyone could succeed. Gillum won the governor primary in August 2018. He is the youngest gubernatorial candidate in Florida.
